this is a big step

i posted on twitter the idea to start a blog and got an overwhelmingly positive response - not sure that was the response i was wanting. i always thought blogs were so cool and creative, but never thought anyone cared what i have to say or do. well, this is a test run... im going try this out for two weeks and see how it goes. i have many different interests and passions. i plan for this to be an eclectic collection of my thoughts and day-to-day ramblings. i am doing this to get feedback as well. some ideas for me to post about:

anything you are interested in me writing about?

i want to make each post short and sweet - and at an elementary reading level - which i dont think will be too hard. i want to post lots of pictures. i want to make it fun and creative.

what i am most hesitant about - privacy. i am someone who likes to keep lots to myself and i get anxious if i feel i am sharing too much. i hope that "red, white and biz" will really pull me out of my shell in that sense.

one thing: my work is pretty much my life. i am going to try to make my blog my escape from work - meaning my escape from life :)
